Evaluation Guidelines for Game Concept Document |
Grades for the game project concept document will depend primarily on whether all required document elements are present, and whether the game concept document provides a sufficiently detailed description of the game that the game concept can be understood by someone outside your team. Specifically, grades will follow these guidelines: - Title page: is it present, and does it have required elements, including game graphic? (5%)
- Overview page: is it present, and does it have required elements (described in the template), including the game genre, platform, team size, key points, and game image? (15%)
- Team pocket biographies: is there a brief biography for each team member? Does the biography explain why this team member is a good choice for creating this game? (15%)
- Overview of the game: does the document have a 1-3 page description of the game? Does this overview address the points discussed in the template? (45%)
- Sample artwork from the game: is it present. Does the artwork help illustrate the characters or levels in the game? If the game is using third-party artwork, is it attributed and cleared for noncommercial use? (20%)
